Assam CM and Sunil Gavaskar Launch Inaugural Edition of Guwahati International Marathon

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar launched the inaugural Guwahati International Marathon on Thursday.

Scheduled for February 7, 2027, the running event expects participation from about 12,000 people, including top international athletes.

Promoted by PMG Sports LLP, the event features a total prize money of ₹1.25 crore distributed across five racing categories.
