Poland's lower house passed two bills seeking to ease restrictive abortion laws following protests by hundreds of women outside the parliament in Warsaw.
The proposed legislation aims to partially decriminalize abortion and restore terminations when doctors identify severe and irreversible fetal abnormalities.
The passage into law remains uncertain, with President Karol Nawrocki expected to veto the measures ahead of next year's parliamentary elections.
