York Region Schools Announce 2026 Staggered Start Dates

Students across York Region, including those in Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, and Aurora, will return to classrooms on staggered start dates for the 2026-2027 school year.

The school board has released the official schedule detailing the specific return dates for students across the region's various municipalities.

The announcement also includes the finalized calendar for Professional Activity (PA) days and public holidays scheduled throughout the upcoming 2026-2027 academic term.
