
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Hyderabad generate between ₹6,000 crore and ₹7,000 crore in economic activity, according to estimates by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi.
The 10-day festival provides direct employment to about two lakh families and indirect employment to another 4.5 lakh people across various service sectors.
Around 1.24 lakh Ganesh idols were registered on Telangana's Ganesh portal this year, with state-wide totals estimated between 3.5 lakh and 4 lakh including home installations.
