Anti-Reservation Protests Erupt in Delhi; Over 300 Detained at Connaught Place

Over 300 protesters gathered at Delhi's Connaught Place on August 23 to demand the abolition of the reservation system, leading to multiple detentions by local police.

The demonstration follows a series of similar protests at Jantar Mantar, where activists have been calling for reservation reforms based on economic criteria rather than caste.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan stated that the government remains open to dialogue with the protesters to address their concerns regarding the current reservation framework.
