Registered Medical Practitioners in Kerala Cross One Lakh

Data from the Kerala State Medical Councils show that the number of registered medical practitioners in the state has crossed 1,13,023.

Approximately 32.75% of these doctors obtained their registrations between the years 2021 and 2025.

Public health experts and Indian Medical Association representatives raised concerns regarding potential unemployment among medical graduates and commercialisation of health care.
