Google rolled back its AI-powered 'Nano Banana' feature in Google Earth on July 31, just one day after launch, following reports of users creating deepfake satellite imagery depicting violence and crises.

The feature allowed users to generate custom images over satellite maps, but researchers and casual users quickly bypassed safeguards to produce misleading content that violated company safety policies.
