Nirbhay Choudhary Sets New National Hammer Throw Record in Delhi

Twenty-one-year-old athlete Nirbhay Choudhary set a new national record in men's hammer throw with a mark of 71.02m at the Indian Athletics Series Final at JLN Stadium.

He surpassed the previous national record of 70.73m set by Neeraj Kumar in 2016, becoming the first Indian to legally clear the 71-metre mark.

Training independently without a professional coach, Choudhary relied on online literature and video guidance from foreign coaches to develop his technique.
