Saudi Arabia confirmed that Yemen's Houthi rebels launched a ballistic missile targeting its capital Riyadh on September 19, which the Saudi-led coalition intercepted.
Residents heard an explosion and saw smoke near King Khalid International Airport, though authorities reported no casualties or damage.
The coalition stated that simultaneous Houthi attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in Yanbu, Taif, Baysh, and Farasan were also successfully thwarted.
