India Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation Against Chinese Glycine Imports

India has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into imports of Glycine from China following an application filed by domestic manufacturer Avid Organics through the DGTR.

The probe will examine trade data from 2022 to 2025 to determine if dumped imports have caused material injury to domestic players, which could lead to recommended duties.

India's trade deficit with China reached an all-time high of $112.6 billion in 2025-26, driven by rising imports and industrial overcapacity risks.
