Dr Sudhir Kumar, a neurologist at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad, emphasized that bystanders can apply Hands-Only CPR to double or triple survival rates during cardiac emergencies.
Emergency response steps include checking responsiveness, calling an ambulance while requesting an automated external defibrillator, and performing chest compressions at 100 to 120 beats per minute.
Bystanders were cautioned against attempting to sit the victim upright or administering food, water, or medication by mouth.
