Rupee drops 30 paise to 95.84 against U.S. dollar amid rising crude prices

The Indian rupee depreciated by 30 paise to open at 95.84 against the U.S. dollar in early trade on Tuesday due to elevated global oil prices and West Asia tensions.

Brent crude oil prices touched $106.94 per barrel, spiking dollar demand from oil importers and aggravating concerns over India's external balance and inflation.

Foreign institutional investors offloaded equities worth ₹930.90 crore on a net basis on Friday, while the Sensex climbed 233.66 points in early trade.
