The Bangladesh Cricket Board appointed Litton Das as the new ODI captain on Wednesday, replacing Mehidy Hasan Miraz to allow the all-rounder to focus on his performance.
Under Mehidy's leadership, Bangladesh won 10 of 20 ODIs, including four consecutive home series victories, but the board now seeks to separate white-ball and red-ball captaincy roles.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue as the red-ball captain, while Towhid Hridoy has been named the white-ball vice-captain as part of a new six-month performance review plan.
