India successfully test-fired the indigenous quasi-ballistic missile Pralay on Thursday from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast.
The short-range, surface-to-surface missile supports conventional warheads with a payload capacity ranging between 500 and 1,000 kilograms.
The Defence Research and Development Organisation confirmed the flight test met all stipulated objectives, signaling imminent induction into military service.
