Truck Hits Gwalior Temple Gate, Killing 12

Twelve people died and 29 were injured after a paddy-laden truck ran over devotees near Shitala Mata Temple in Gwalior late on Saturday, police said.

Gwalior superintendent of police Dharamveer Yadav stated that a preliminary investigation indicated a mechanical failure caused the driver to lose control on a slope.

District collector Ruchika Chauhan announced that the injured are receiving treatment funded by Red Cross and are provided with necessary medical assistance.
