The Gabil Boldil SSA LP School in Garo Hills remains unusable for its 53 students despite a recent allocation of Rs 1.5 lakh for infrastructure repairs.
While the roof was rectified, the structure lacks doors and windows, and major portions of the walls remain in tatters, forcing classes to continue in a small kitchen shed.
Villagers report that the repair funds were insufficient due to the remote location's high material and labor costs, leaving the school in a state of extreme dilapidation.
