An opposition delegation led by Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge met President Droupadi Murmu on Friday, demanding action against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the repeal of a 2023 immunity law.
The opposition accused the prime minister, home minister, and CEC of conspiring to undermine democracy and demanded a return to paper ballots and the restoration of 133 million allegedly removed voters.
Gandhi stated that the opposition bloc will submit a memorandum regarding the election commission issue to the Supreme Court on Monday.
