BJP wins Kota municipal elections as chairperson polls postponed over EVM glitches

The BJP secured a majority in the Kota Municipal Corporation election by winning 55 out of 100 wards, while Congress bagged 40 wards.

Elections for chairperson and vice chairperson posts in Kota and Suket were postponed following EVM malfunctions reported in multiple wards.

Re-polling has been scheduled for September 16 in the affected booths, with final vote counting set for September 17.
