Charity Provides Free 11-Plus Tutoring to Level Playing Field

The charity AIM is providing free 11-plus tutoring to children from low-income households in Kent to help them prepare for the selective state school entrance exam.

The program is open to families with an annual household income under £30,000, aiming to bridge the socioeconomic gap where wealthier parents often begin tutoring as early as Year 3.

Department for Education data shows that in the 2025-26 academic year, only one in 10 grammar school pupils in Kent and Medway were eligible for free school meals.
