Russia imported a record 172,000 tonnes of oil products in August, driven by Ukrainian drone strikes that disrupted domestic refining capacity.
India supplied 70% of these imports, including 120,000 tonnes of gasoline loaded at the Vadinar refinery and sold by Nayara Energy to Rosneft.
The shipments were transferred via sanctioned tankers through ship-to-ship operations off Egypt before unloading at Russia's Arctic port of Beloe More.
