Karthi's Sardar 2 opens to Rs 6.8 crore worldwide gross on Day 1

Karthi's spy action thriller Sardar 2 collected Rs 4.50 crores net in India and pushed its worldwide gross past Rs 6.80 crores on Thursday.

The film ran across 3,950 shows in India with an overall occupancy of 24.5%, with the Tamil version driving the bulk of net collections.

Overseas markets contributed Rs 1.50 crores in gross collections, completing the film's worldwide opening-day total.
