Bullets Discovered in Art Supply Shipment at Eastport-South Manor High

A teacher at Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School discovered a sealed box of bullets inside a routine delivery of art supplies on Tuesday morning.

Superintendent Joseph A. Steimel stated that Suffolk County police were notified, and initial findings suggest a severe packaging error by third-party distributor Blick Art Materials of Galesburg, Illinois.

The district confirmed the bullets were labeled for a Louisiana sporting goods store and stressed that no students or staff were in danger during the incident.
