Serbia's President Vucic resigns to run for Prime Minister in early election

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić resigned to lead his party in an early parliamentary election on October 25.

He aims to become Prime Minister, a position with more formal power than the presidency.

The election follows nearly two years of protests and will test Vučić's firm rule against a youth-backed movement.
