A 30-year-old woman was allegedly tied to a chair and burnt alive by her husband in Kannauj’s Jagatpur village on Thursday morning.
The accused, 35-year-old Sukhbir Singh, reportedly suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair and fled with their two children after the incident.
Local police have launched a manhunt for the absconding husband, noting a prior dispute between the couple that was recently addressed at a police post.
