Ukraine Drone Strike Triggers Fire on Oil Tanker off Russia

A Liberian-flagged oil tanker carrying an all-Indian crew was struck by naval drones off Russia’s Black Sea coast near Sochi on Tuesday, triggering a massive fire.

All 23 Indian nationals aboard the vessel were safely rescued with no injuries reported, according to the authorities.

Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin convened an emergency response headquarters, and local officials temporarily closed nearby beaches in Sirius as a precautionary measure.
