FSSAI Issues Notices to Food Giants Over Misleading Health Claims

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has initiated an enforcement drive, issuing notices to major food companies for making misleading health claims on their products.

Following the regulatory action, companies including Amway and Juza Foods have withdrawn specific '100%' and energy drink claims, while also delisting certain products from the market.

The crackdown mandates that food manufacturers remove unsubstantiated health advertisements and labels, marking a significant push by the FSSAI to ensure consumer safety and product transparency.
