Odisha govt announces student union elections after eight years

The Odisha government announced that student union elections on higher education campuses will resume after a suspension of eight years.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved the polls, which will be completed within a ten-day period starting October 7 and concluding on October 16, 2026.

Colleges will issue individual notifications on October 7, nominations will be filed on October 9, and polling will take place on October 15.
