SEBI increased the maximum number of International Securities Identification Numbers maturing annually from 14 to 17 for privately placed debt securities to help companies manage cash flows.
Out of the 17 instruments, issuers can hold up to 12 plain vanilla debt securities, allowing an additional ISIN for every ₹3,000 crore exceeding ₹15,000 crore in outstanding maturity.
SEBI also exempted small-value debt issuers from appointing merchant bankers under four specific compliance and regulatory conditions.
