Main accused in Punjab anti-drug activist murder nabbed

The medical store owner who allegedly shot dead anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Punjab's Mansa district was nabbed from Salasar in Rajasthan on Wednesday.

Parvinder Singh Jhota was murdered in broad daylight on Tuesday after confronting the accused for allegedly selling drugs to an elderly man, with the incident captured on Facebook Live.

The murder sparked widespread outrage, with opposition parties attacking the Bhagwant Mann government over a breakdown in law and order and the safety of anti-drug voices.
