A data breach at the Central Board of Film Certification exposed application details, shooting scripts, and cut orders for more than 500 titles on the e-Cinepramaan portal.
The exposed datasets, which included sensitive distribution agreements revealing licensing fees, were hosted on the Internet Archive before being removed on October 12.
The CBFC stated that initial examination found no trace of accessed certification documents, and it has notified CERT-In and cybercrime authorities.
