Mangaluru police arrested St. Vincent Ferrer Church priest Siprian Pinto following allegations of aggravated sexual assault involving five 14-year-old boys.
The victims lodged a complaint with the Mangaluru Bishop and Mangaluru South police on October 15 after experiencing inappropriate physical contact during visits to the church.
The accused priest was booked under sections of the POCSO Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and will be produced before a magistrate.
