Five Killed in Accidental Blast During Road Work in Andhra Pradesh

Five people died after explosive material misfired during road-widening work in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitharama Raju district on Saturday morning.

The blast occurred at Pinakota village in Anantagiri mandal during rock blasting on a ghat road, destroying two vehicles in the accident.

The driver, three workers, and a teacher traveling in the opposite direction lost their lives, while local police and revenue officials launched a rescue operation.
