State-owned Cochin Shipyard has received orders from the U.S., Germany, Norway, and other nations to build over 40 ships, Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced.
A senior Shipping Ministry official stated that Russian entities have also expressed interest in building ships in India in collaboration with local yards.
During bilateral talks at the Sagarmanthan dialogue, Belgium expressed willingness to promote shipbuilding, while Saudi Arabia discussed participation in port projects.
