A Dutch tour bus carrying 48 people overturned in eastern Switzerland between the villages of Susch and Zernez on Thursday afternoon, leaving several people dead and others injured.
According to police, the coach collided with a crash barrier and then overturned without any other vehicles involved, prompting the deployment of several ambulances and five helicopters to the scene.
The Dutch Foreign Ministry stated it was too early to confirm the exact victim count, while travel agency Oad expressed deep shock and Swiss President Guy Parmelin promised a thorough investigation.
