Canadian law enforcement arrested and charged five Indian nationals following a year-long investigation into extortion and violence targeting an auto dealership.
The probe, dubbed Project E_PURSUANCE, revealed that businesses in Surrey and Langley were targeted with arson and shootings over significant extortion demands.
One suspect, Sanket Singla, was lured back to Canada from India and arrested at Toronto airport on October 1, while four others remain in custody.
