Batwara 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol, is set for theatrical release on August 14 following positive early reviews from industry figures.
Advance bookings for the film reached approximately 30,000 tickets nationwide by Thursday noon, grossing ₹81 lakh for the opening day.
The film marks Preity Zinta's return to cinema after a decade and features an ensemble cast including Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol.
