EPFO Launches WhatsApp Service and Automatic Settlement for Accounts

Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched a verified WhatsApp service allowing over 34 crore EPFO members to access PF balances, passbooks, and the latest transactions.

The retirement fund body also initiated automatic settlement for Aadhaar-verified inoperative accounts with balances up to Rs 1,000, expected to benefit around one lakh accounts involving Rs 5 crore.

Officials emphasized that the digital measures aim to reduce office visits and improve service delivery for subscribers while managing a retirement corpus of nearly Rs 32 lakh crore.
