Ahead of the seasonal spike in air pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management reported that its Flying Squads conducted 150 targeted inspections across the NCR over a 15-day period.
The inspections evaluated industrial fuel usage, emission-control equipment, diesel generator operations, and dust mitigation protocols at construction and demolition sites.
Following the reviews, the watchdog proposed immediate closure directions for three construction projects and one industrial unit, alongside directives to seal 25 non-compliant DG sets.
