UGC Approves One-Year Postgraduate Programmes

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has officially approved the introduction of one-year postgraduate programmes, available through both online and Open and Distance Learning (ODL) modes.

This policy shift is intended to provide greater flexibility for working professionals and students seeking to accelerate their academic progression without compromising on quality.

Universities are now permitted to design these condensed curricula, provided they meet the UGC's rigorous standards for academic rigor and credit-based assessment.
