FDA Issues Notice to Actors Over Vimal Elaichi Advertisements

The Maharashtra FDA issued a show-cause notice on August 11, 2026, to actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff regarding their endorsement of Vimal Elaichi advertisements.

Regulators claim the ads act as surrogate promotions for prohibited pan masala products, violating the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and have demanded a response from the actors within 15 days.

The FDA has directed the actors to remove all promotional content from digital platforms and provide documentation regarding their endorsement agreements and due diligence processes conducted before the campaign.
