Bihar CM transfers ₹579 crore in relief to flood-affected families

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary transferred ₹579.23 crore in relief financial assistance to the bank accounts of 8.27 lakh flood-affected families across 15 districts.

Each beneficiary family received ₹7,000 under the relief distribution held at a function in Patna.

The Disaster Management Department reported that nearly 49.72 lakh people have been affected by floods following torrential rainfall and rising river levels.
