Hridoy surpassed the previous records held by Tamim Iqbal, who scored 334, and Raqibul Hasan, who scored 313, during his marathon innings in Potchefstroom.

Despite his performance, Hridoy remains uncertain about his Test cricket future, noting that his selection depends on the national panel's decisions for upcoming series.
