US Department of Labor Inspector General Anthony D’Esposito defended the administration's decision to suspend tech firms from the PERM employment-based green card process.
D’Esposito stated that technology companies use the H-1B visa framework as a business model to replace qualified American workers.
The suspension affects Microsoft, Adobe, and six major IT firms including Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Cognizant, and Capgemini.
