OpenAI Terminates Partnership with SpaceX-Owned Cursor Over Contract Violations

OpenAI will cut off Cursor's access to its AI models on November 12, citing concerns over contract compliance following SpaceX's $60 billion acquisition of the coding startup.

The decision follows allegations that Elon Musk-owned companies, including Twitter and xAI, previously violated terms by scraping data and distilling OpenAI's output for the Grok model.

OpenAI confirmed it will not provide future technology, including the upcoming Astra model, to Cursor, ending the partnership established under a limited-time acquisition clause.
