A young man died and five others were seriously injured when a Tempo Traveller crashed into an electric pole and overturned in Annapoorneshwari Nagar, Bengaluru.
Eyewitnesses claimed the driver swerved to avoid bikers performing stunts, whereas traffic police booked the driver for rash and negligent driving.
Local residents protested at the scene, alleging that an ambulance arrived late without medical staff and raising concerns over street racing incidents.
