Mumbai Police issue notice to actor Imran Khan to leave India by October 28

The Foreigners Regional Registration Office in Mumbai has served a notice to American national and actor Imran Khan, directing him to leave India by October 28.

The action follows a complaint by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya regarding the Overseas Citizen of India cardholder's participation in a political protest at August Kranti Maidan.

Khan and several family members were previously detained by police during the demonstration, where protesters called for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.
