Jithu Madhavan's Tamil directorial debut 'Scene', starring Suriya, opened in theatres on Friday ahead of Diwali to collect over ₹19 crore net in India.
The film outperformed Suriya's earlier 2026 releases 'Karuppu' and 'Vishwanath & Sons' on opening day, though it trailed Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2'.
Backed by 2D Entertainment and Zhagaram Studios, the film also performed well internationally by adding ₹12 crore in overseas box office collections.
