Karnataka Sugarcane Farmers Call for State-Wide Bandh

Sugarcane farmers in Karnataka called for a state-wide bandh on Saturday after the Belagavi district administration issued prohibitory orders against a planned highway protest.

Farmers confirmed they will respect government orders by refraining from blocking the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway.

Leader Chunappa Pujeri stated that protests will proceed through district bandhs and a subsequent Jail Bharo agitation on Sunday.
