The West Bengal government initiated procedures to abolish the Madrasah Service Commission and merge it with the West Bengal School Service Commission.
Principal Secretary for Education Binod Kumar stated that the merger is expected to be finalized this year through legislative changes in the state assembly.
The state administration noted that the consolidation aims to streamline teacher recruitment processes and establish greater uniformity across institutions.
