AMD to Acquire Fei-Fei Li’s World Labs in $8.2 Billion All-Stock Deal

Advanced Micro Devices announced an all-stock acquisition of Fei-Fei Li's artificial intelligence startup World Labs for $8.2 billion.

The transaction grants AMD access to spatial intelligence research for physical AI systems that model three-dimensional environments and support future chip demand.

Fei-Fei Li will join AMD as executive vice president and chief scientist reporting to CEO Lisa Su after the deal closes by late 2026.
